Canadian Certified Vocational Evaluator (CCVE)
Scope of Practice
Canadian Certified Vocational Evaluators, CCVEs have the specialized expertise to conduct comprehensive assessments and provide forensic services for assisting in the determination of benefit entitlement or quantifying financial losses related to vocational impairment, earning capacity, work capacity, employability, placeability as well as residual vocational capacity and avocational-related losses. Canadian Registrants of the College must be Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Professionals, CVRP prior to applying to become a CCVE. Registrants with this specialty possess a unique set of knowledge, experiences, skills, as well as the ability to determine strategies and to administer, score and interpret psychometric tests and/or work samples in providing vocational evaluation services, as confirmed via the College’s certification and examination process.
CCVE Certification Classification
Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Professionals may apply for certification in areas of specialization, including Certified Vocational Evaluator, CCVE. This credential is awarded to professionals who can demonstrate competence in the essential performance areas related to Vocational Evaluation as described by the College’s Scope of Practice. The primary purpose of CCVE certification is to provide assurance to the public that professionals engaged in vocational evaluation services have met acceptable standards of knowledge, performance & quality. Applicants must provide documentation of their education, training & professional work experience, submit independently authored work products for successful peer-review & pass the Board-certified CCVE examination.

CCVE Provisional (CCVE(P))
The College has developed a Provisional process to provide a CCVE certification for those who do not meet the criteria.

The CCVE online examination with virtual proctoring is available. The examination is divided into two 3 hour sessions. It is a competency examination on Vocational Evaluation, consisting of 300 skill-based, multiple-choice & scenario questions. If a rewrite is required fees are payable to CVRP, the online examination provider & virtual proctor.
The CCVE(F) classification has been developed to recognize individuals within the field who have achieved higher levels of professionalism through post graduate study &/or maintenance of other recognized related professional designations.
The CCVE(D) classification recognizes senior practitioners at the highest level of professionalism within the field of vocational evaluation who have made significant contributions through education, professional development & professional contribution activities.
