The College has launched a Board-Certified Professional Credential, the ICCCP(F) & ICCCP!

SCOPE OF PRACTICE
International Certified Cost of Care Professionals, ICCCPs have the specialized expertise in performing a comprehensive and systematic analysis of, and making recommendations for an individual’s current and future needs, and related costs as a result of disability arising from catastrophic injury or chronic health care needs. ICCCPs make recommendations based upon published standards of practice, comprehensive assessment, case and forensic data analysis and research pertaining to the client and the disability. Registrants with this specialty possess a unique set of knowledge, experiences, skills, as well as the ability to determine and apply strategies, which are used in ascertaining a client’s current and future needs and related costs for judicial prognosis, as confirmed via the College’s certification and exam process.

Who Should Apply?

Experienced life care planners with the current credentials, CLCPs, CCLCPs, who want to strengthen their practice & defensibility for medical-legal work & have their qualifications & experience recognized & maintained by a Board-Certified College.

And

CVRPs, CCRCs, CRCs, CCMs, CVEs, CCVEs, ICVEs who have been doing life care planning/cost of care but have not yet challenged a credential.

The College is opening the Grandfathering Phase of the ICCCP(F) & ICCCP Credential First!

Current CLCPs/CCLCPs Eligibility for Fellowship in International Certified Cost of Care Professional, ICCCP(F) 
Criteria:
a) confirmation of possession of CLCP or CCLCP credential in good standing; &
b) completion of the ICCCP exam in order to provide assistance in peer validation of the exam; &/or

Plus (3 of the following 6 categories are met):
c) confirmation of testimony as an expert witness in court in successfully defending life care plan(s)/cost of care reports; &/or
d) proof of publication of a peer-reviewed article in a recognized publication; &/or
e) taught life care planning/cost of care certification-related courses at or through a recognized institution; &/or
f) made presentations as a subject matter expert at recognized conferences where a minimum of 8 certification education maintenance credit hours in total were awarded (including credit for speaker preparation hours) or would be eligible for awarding of CEUs; &/or
g) experience in doing peer-reviewing for life care planning/cost of care credentialing; &/or
h) participation in life care planning exam question development.

A successful ICCCP(F) applicant will be awarded 12 ICCCP CEUs for participation in life care planning exam in beta version.

Grandfathering to ICCCP 
a) CVRP credential in good standing; or a CCRC, CRC, CCM, CVE, CCVE, ICVE; &
b) confirmation of having completed life care plans &/or authoring or co-authoring life care plan/cost of care reports; &
c) successful completion of peer-review of a redacted life care plan/cost of care report by the College; &
d) successful passing of the College’s ICCCP exam, minimum 70%.

 Candidate would be eligible for the ICCCP Fellowship, if the candidate meets 3 of the 6 criteria for Fellowship as detailed in items “c” through “h” above.

ICCCP & (F) GF APPLICATION & process

New ICCCP Applicants – Coming Soon!
a) CVRP credential in good standing; or CCRC/CRC, CCM or equivalent credential; &
b) completion of College-approved training submitted in writing to the College (including consideration for post-approval), completed & confirmed in writing with a certified life care planner totaling a minimum of 800 mentoring & supervision hours (which is the equivalent of the number of instruction hours required for university credit) to include topics such as:

• introduction to life care planning, professional & ethical issues, evidence-based standards of practice, medical rehabilitation determination & cost projection;
• judicial & professional witness expectations;
• catastrophic injuries in children & adults such as amputation, brain injury, spinal cord injury, chronic pain;
• pediatric life care planning issues such as brachial plexus, cerebral palsy, childhood abuse;
• other life care planning issues such as aging, & life expectancy;
• vocational, avocational, & education issues;
• development of a life care plan report structure & format;
• replacement & valuation of valuable services;
• pricing, offsets for ordinary expenses, & replacements frequency; &

c) successful completion of peer-review of redacted life care plan report by the College; &
d) passing of the College’s ICCCP exam, minumum of 70%.
