Youth Mental Health & Addiction Treatment Practices

You’re invited for EHN Canada’s next educational webinar:

Youth Mental Health & Addiction Treatment Practices

With Teresa Bansen, MSW, RSW

Youth Program Manager, Bellwood Health Services

According to the National Institute of Mental Health, “mental health is an important part of overall health for children as well as adults. For many adults who have mental disorders, symptoms were present—but often not recognized or addressed—in childhood and adolescence. For a young person with symptoms of a mental disorder, the earlier treatment is started, the more effective it can be. Early treatment can help prevent more severe, lasting problems as a child grows up.” As providers, it is important to be aware of strategies and programs for treatment to better achieve holistic healing for youth. Join Teresa Bansen, Youth Program Manager at Bellwood Health Services, on Thursday, May 4 between 12-1pm EST as she provides his insight and further explains the mental health and addiction challenges youth are currently facing. Teresa will also be introducing the New Start Youth Program available at Bellwood Health Services in Toronto, ON.
