International Certified Vocational Evaluator, ICVE
Scope of Practice
International Certified Vocational Evaluators, ICVEs have specialized expertise to conduct comprehensive assessments & provide forensic services for assisting in the determination of benefit entitlement or quantifying financial losses related to vocational impairment, earning capacity, work capacity, employability, placeability as well as residual vocational capacity & avocational-related losses. Registrants with this specialty possess a unique set of knowledge, experiences, skills, as well as the ability to determine strategies & to administer, score & interpret psychometric tests (level A and B) &/or work samples in providing vocational evaluation services, as confirmed via the College’s certification & exam process.

International Certified Vocational Evaluator, ICVE(P)
The College developed a provisional pathway for those who do not meet the full ICVE criteria.
The ICVE online exam with virtual proctoring is in 2 sections in 2 hour sessions. It is a competency exam on Vocational Evaluation, consisting of 200 skill-based, multiple-choice & scenario questions. A satisfactory exam is a minimim of 70% with up to 2 rewrites. If a rewrite is required fees are payable to CVRP, the online exam provider & virtual proctor. An applicant must sit the exam within 1 year of application submission. Fee Schedule
ICVE Fellow & Diplomate
The ICVE(F) recognizes applicants within the field who achieved higher levels of professionalism through post graduate study &/or maintenance of other recognized related professional designations.
The ICVE(D) recognizes applicants at the highest level of professionalism within the field of vocational evaluation who made significant contributions through education, professional development & professional contribution activities.
The ICVE certification is endorsed by the Vocational Evaluation and Career Assessment Professionals, VECAP
As of June 25, 2021, The Division of Rehabilitation Services (DORS) only accepts ICVE, ICVE(F) & ICVE(D) as the approved credential. DORS’ Community Rehabilitation Programs & Career Assessment Providers’ endorsement of ICVE.
